Andrea Funk, RN, CPHQ, CLNC

Ms.Funk has been with Cogent HMG since 2005, and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the east central region of the country. In her position, Ms. Funk works side by side with Cogent HMG physicians and staff providing support and motivation as they engage in their daily practice, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. She provides expertise in improving hospitalist quality metrics through her commitment to the professional development and support of our staff physicians and medical leadership.

Ms. Funk has more than 20 years experience in nursing and quality management, having previously served as the Regional Vice President of Operations, Director of Operations and Director of Quality Management and Performance Improvement. Before joining Cogent HMG, Ms. Funk worked in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at Akron General Medical Center. 

A graduate of Kent State University, Ms. Funk holds a B.S. in Nursing and a Masters of Education in Community Health Education. She is certified as a legal nurse consultant and a professional in healthcare quality.
