Cogent HMG is dedicated to the advancement of the hospital medicine and critical care specialties through our national training and mentoring program, Cogent HMG Academy™.
All newly hired physicians and program administrators begin their careers with Cogent HMG by being introduced to our culture, our mission and our core values.
Both our physicians and hospital clients benefit from curriculum focused on leadership, team work, customer service, performance improvement, problem resolution and career development. It's a powerful and comprehensive combination delivered in a multitude of formats including attendance at our training center in Nashville, TN, regional and program locations, as well as a deep library of online content.
The Cogent HMG Academy leaders are truly leaders of the hospitalist industry and include Dr. Ron Greeno, an industry pioneer and one of the founders of the Society of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Rusty Holman, past president of SHM. And Dr. Shaun Frost, president-elect of SHM.
Academy is developed specifically for new providers and field based leadership. In addition to receiving their on-boarding training, providers receive full Continuing Medical Education (CME) accreditation upon completion of a procedures training session designed specifically for hospitalists.
