Doug Mefford

Mr. Mefford joined Cogent HMG in 2007, and serves as the company's Chief Legal Officer.  He has more than 20 years experience as an attorney, including over 15 years in the healthcare industry. He provides legal counsel on all business and regulatory matters for the company.

Prior to joining Cogent HMG, Mr. Mefford served as a Vice President and Senior Group Counsel for a national hospital company, as a Division Counsel for an international dialysis company and as an Associate General Counsel for a national physician practice management firm.   Mr. Mefford began his legal career with a large Nashville based law firm where he concentrated on corporate and securities matters.

Mr. Mefford earned a BS in Finance from Western Kentucky University, and a JD from the University of Kentucky.
