Gene Fleming

Gene Fleming served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogent Healthcare from April 2005 to June 2011, and now serves as an active board member for Cogent HMG. Prior to Cogent, he held office in several executive management roles, including President and CEO of Surgical Alliance Corporation in Nashville, Tenn.; Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Quorum Health Group in Brentwood, Tenn.; and President, Eastern Group of Hospital Corporation of America in Nashville, Tenn. A lifelong healthcare executive, he served as CEO of three HCA hospitals prior to accepting a senior management role in the company.

Fleming received a BS in Business Administration and an MBA from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. He is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
