Kent McMackin

Mr. McMackin joined Cogent HMG with more than 20 years of healthcare experience, serving as Chief Recruitment Officer, overseeing recruiting, credentialing, and provider enrollment. He is responsible for the recruitment and retention of physicians, clinicians and medical leadership who serve Cogent HMG’s hospital clients across the nation. 

Prior to Cogent HMG, McMackin served as Vice President of HCA Physician Services, Hospital Based Programs and Physician Strategic Sourcing. Before taking that position, McMackin served as Associate Vice President of Physician Recruitment for HCA’s West Florida Division.

Mr. McMackin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Southern Illinois University followed by his Masters Degree in Human Resources Management Development from Chapman University. Currently, McMackin is a PhD Candidate from Walden University in Organizational Psychology.
