Mark R. Neaman
Mark R. Neaman is President and Chief Executive Officer of NorthShore University HealthSystem, headquartered in Evanston, Illinois, since 1992. Neaman began his management career at the Evanston Hospital, part of the NorthShore University HealthSystem, as an Administrative Assistant in 1974. From 1974 to present, he has held numerous positions at the corporation.
Neaman is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare (ACHE) and served on the Board of Governors for the College (1997-2004) and was Chairman in 2002-2003. He was a Council in Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH) Representative to the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) (2007-2010). Since 2004, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the publicly traded Advisory Board Companies in Washington, D.C.
Amongst various honors, Neaman received a Healthcare Fellowship with the International Hospital Federation in 1980. He was named to the "Young Healthcare Executive of the Year" Award in 1988 from the 35,000 member ACHE. He earned his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University and master's degree in Business/Healthcare Administration from Ohio State in 1974.
