Susan Brownie

Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Brownie joined Cogent HMG in 2007, bringing with her more than 20 years of financial expertise.

Prior to joining Cogent HMG, she was the CFO at HealthStream in Nashville, Tenn., a publicly-traded, health care technology services company, where she worked for almost eight years. While there, she was responsible for directing all financial and accounting matters, working with the Board of Directors and overseeing Human Resources. Preceding HealthStream, Ms. Brownie worked with Big Four accounting firm KPMG, serving clients in technology, retail and service industries. During her career, she has been involved in many initial, secondary and private offering and financing transactions, along with numerous acquisitions. 

Ms. Brownie holds a BS in Business Administration from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and is a Certified Public Accountant.
