Administrative Coordinator - Part Time

Cogent HMG is seeking a Part Time Administrative Coordinator (AC) to work in an administrative role within our program in Sierra Vista.  The AC is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the daily care team activities of their program.  The AC functions in an integral role; acting as the liaison between corporate office personnel, physicians, patients, hospital personnel and the general public.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Create DPL from MD list and make data corrections as needed
  • Interaction with patients from admit to discharge
  • Scheduling of patient follow-up appointments
  • Complete appointment cards and place in designated location
  • Enter new patients and make data corrections in CAPTURE™  
  • Send Admit Notification faxes to PCPs
  • Fax Physician DPS with CPT codes to team members at the service center for billing
  • Respond to issue sheets and return to service center
  • Interaction with primary care physicians and other facilities (gather information as requested, i.e. patient medical history)
  • Verify PCP information and phone numbers
  • Maintain and order office supplies

Education, Training and Experience Required:

  • At least 1-3 years of administrative experience in a healthcare environment
  • Minimum education requirement:  Bachelors Degree
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • The ability to work independently and communicate effectively with all individuals involved in the program
